Jjot is an online tool that lets you take down “sticky” notes. This tool lets you create boards on which your sticky notes are placed. Add as many sticky notes as you’d like. Individual notes can be printed and emailed to others, or you entire note board can be printed and emailed out to others as well. There are a couple of options for your notes: text can be made in bold print, you can include hyperlinks, and you can add bullet points. You can also change the size of the notes on your board from small, medium and large, though this won’t change the size of the text inside your notes. There’s also the option of rearranging the notes on the page. Note boards can be kept private or made searchable by the Jjot community.

Mr. Uptime is a Firefox plug-in that monitors sites that have gone down, so you can be alerted when they come back online.

Install the Mr. Uptime plug-in, and when you come across a site that’s experiencing down time, just add it to your Mr. Uptime watchlist. The down site will be monitored every 5 minutes for the first hour, every 10 minutes for the next 120 minutes, every 15 minutes for the following 160 minutes, and every 30 minutes after that.

The watchlist shows all the sites you’re monitoring, when you’ve added it, and how long you’ve set to monitor it. The settings you can choose for Mr. Uptime include the option to open the watched site in a new tab, new window, show an alert window or not to open the window at all. You can also select to have your watchlist cleared out when you close your Firefox browser.

GloobTV is the latest in video aggregator services. GloobTV looks to bring you the best videos from the web, on a daily basis. There are several categories available on GloobTV, from music, to sports, to stupid. You could also search by keyword, but you’ll have to search for the search bar itself–it’s hiding about halfway down the page. For each video you view, you can email it to a friend, or Digg it. You can also create a user profile, but as this isn’t really a social network, the most you’ll be able to do is keep track of the comments you’ve left throughout the site.

You can help out the process by submitting a video to the site, or embedding a video in the comments thread. One necessary feature GloobTV needs to add is an RSS feed subscription option for delivery of daily clip news.

DailyLit is a free service that delivers books to you in installments, via email or RSS. There are currently about 400 titles to choose from, all part of the Creative Commons License, so you’ll find pretty much all classic titles. The books are all broken down in to easily digestible sections, averaging about 2 pages worth of text, which will take you about 5 minutes to read. Search for a book on DailyLit by author, title or category. You’ll see the number of installments for each book, which will help you gauge how long it will take you to read. You can have the book installments delivered via email and/or RSS feeds, which places the content exactly where you’re most likely to get it on a regular basis. Select if you’d like your installments delivered every day, weekdays only, or Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and pick what time of day you’d like them delivered. You can read several titles at once, and also have more than one installment sent to you at a time, and you can always choose to continue on to the next installment once you’ve completed your current one.
