Mahalo has launched a new product for its human-powered search engine, called Mahalo Follow. This feature opens up a sidebar search so you can see side-by-side comparisons of Mahalo and the other search engines you use, as well as getting information about any website you’re currently browsing. The Follow feature is a browser plug-in, so you’ll need to first download it in order to begin using it. Once installed it adds a search bar and other bookmarking and recommendation options to your browser, as well as a sidebar full of search results, from all the sources it pulls from, as well as the tag words for which it’s obtaining results. You can have your Mahalo Follow results show automatically, or this feature can be disabled. If Mahalo Follow has nothing solid to offer, then no search results will show. So far Mahalo Follow is only available for Firefox, but an IE version will be made available soon.
